AUTO ACCIDENT IN THE FAIRWAYS
    ON SUNDAY EVENING,MAY 26, WE HAD AN ACCIDENT  NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF PORT MARNOCK AND AUGUSTA RD. FORTUNATELY THERE WERE NO INJURIES.THE ''AIR BAGS'' DEPLOYED, THUS DISABLING THE VEHICLE.THE OTHER VEHICLE ,REPORTEDLY WAS A TRUCK.--FOLKS, THIS SHOULD BE A REMINDER TO ALL OF US--PLEASE--PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY AND OBSERVE OUR 20 MILE SPEED LIMIT!

BURGLARY ON SPYGLASS ST--BEWARE !
WE HAVE PICKED UP ON A BURGLARY, LOST PROPERTY REPORT, FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF;S OFFICE REGARDING AN ADDRESS ON SPYGLASS. IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF MAY18,--2 LAPTOP COMPUTERS WERE STOLEN FROM A 700 BLOCK  ADDRESS. THE DOORS WERE LOCKED,HOWEVER THE SCREEN WAS CUT TO GAIN ENTRANCE OCSO INVESTIGATED AND OBTAINED SOME GOOD FINGER PRINTS. THIS IS THE SAME AREA, THAT WE HAD THEFTS IN 2 YEARS AGO.

With this list a resident can check crime reports in our own area.--As we continue to build the site ,a link for Orange county courts will be added also.
    In the 3 days of operation, we have already had ,almost 200 visits to our new site----THANK YOU !
  In response to a good residents post,about ''HOW DO FELONS GET IN HERE?''--Let me say this---its too ,too easy --they simply move in without notice, --UNREGISTERED-- ''UNDER THE RADAR'',--usually with relatives. The relative may be approved by  the office, then afterwards, here comes Junior or Susie or brother Gizmo.If the residents watch who is living around them ,and advise the office or Fairways Watch, we can usually do something. As it was with the felon pictured above,[ a relative] sometimes the sheriff can bring force to evict..

DURING THE LAST HOA MEETING, THERE WAS A DISCUSSION ABOUT AN UNREGISTERED,EX CONVICT FELON ,LIVING IN THE 14600 BLOCK OF PEBBLE BEACH. AFTER A SERIES OF EVENTS EARLY TUESDAY MORNING,THAT INVOLVED VANDALISM ,CAPT BRETT MEADE OF THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF;S OFFICE, WAS ADVISED OF THE SITUATION. AS ALWAYS THE CAPTAIN RESPONDED QUICKLY WITH A SPECIAL, FACT FINDING INVESTIGATOR. EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING, 5 O.C.S.O.UNITS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE PEBBLE BEACH ADDRESS. WITH THE LEGAL RESIDENTS APPROVAL AND CONSENT, THE FELON WITH ALL OF HIS ''EARTHLY POSSESSIONS'' WAS EVICTED FROM THE FAIRWAYS! THE EVICTED FELON WALKED THE MILE TO THE GATE, FOLLOWED BY A DEPUTY. WE ALL OWE CAPTAIN MEADE A DEBT OF GRATITUDE---''THANK YOU SIR''
