YET, ANOTHER, BROAD DAYLIGHT BURGLARY IN THE FAIRWAYS!

   I         IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN!

This morning  at 9AM [Feb 27] ,a resident locked their house and left the community for about an hour and a half. Upon their return they found that their home had been burglarized and jewelry taken. The door had a standard type lock, which was ''jimmied''
This latest crime was committed in the 1920,s  address area of Inverary drive.
All of the recent burglaries have happened in broad daylight, in well traveled ,wide open areas.
The neighbors in this area are a close nit group.--yet no one seen anything suspicious. The sheriffs office was notified and a report made. Upon advice of the deputy, the resident notified the office. The office told the resident that there was nothing that they could do now! ---MAYBE THE OFFICE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING NOW, BUT IT MIGHT HAVE PREVENTED THIS AND OTHER CRIMES, IF WE HAD A REASONABLE FORM OF GATE SECURITY!

SPECIAL ALERT FOR ALL RESIDENTS!

    EVERY ONE SHOULD TAKE NOTICE!

At approximately 12;30PM Thursday January 13, the following occurred near the intersection of Pebble Beach and Firestone St. A resident heard their large breed dog barking. The resident responded and went to the front portion of the home. The resident immediately noticed ,a front slider closed to their Florida room. This door is always left open during the day. The dog was very agitated and barking from the inside of the home. The owner, quickly realized that ''someone'' had been in the residence and closed the sliding door.  The owner theorized that the door was closed to isolate the dog from an obvious intruder. The resident went outside the home and talked to 2 different neighbors. The neighbors had seen a young Hispanic male with curly hair come out of the victims house. It was also reported that this young individual was wearing a grey shirt. No other details were given. OCSO was called and they responded promptly. The officer, took a report and went out into the neighbor hood to look for the described suspect.
BEAR IN MIND ---this is the second instance this month , happening in broad daylight, in an open area of our community.

STAY ALERT-- REPORT ALL SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY----''IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING''

IN MEMORY OF ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS

THE FOLLOWING IS A REPRINT FROM THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE

A Policeman's ..23rd Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want,

His comforting hand reduces fear to naught;

He makes me walk through streets of crime,

But He gives me courage and peace of mind

.

He leads me by still waters in the path I trod,

And He says in Romans I'm a "minister of God,"

He leads me in righteousness as He restores my soul,

For His name's sake He keeps me whole.

When I walk through death's valley, right up to the
door,

I will fear no evil, for He comforts me more;
For Thou art with me every step of the way,
As thy rod and thy staff protect me each day.
He prepares a table, especially for me,
As I work daily among life's enemies;
He gives me authority to uphold the law,
And He anoints my position in the midst of it all.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me,
Each day of my life through eternity;
As I long to hear Him say, "Well done...,"
When I lay down my life,
my badge,
and my gun...

A SPECIAL NOTE TO ANY RESIDENT WHO MIGHT CHOOSE TO CONFRONT A SUSPICIOUS PERSON. THIS DEPUTY WAS INVESTIGATING A CAR BURGLARY!

The OCSO honors a hero and our fallen brother, Deputy

Sheriff Jonathan "Scott" Pine.

This senseless death is a devastating loss to his family,

our agency and the community.

Deputy Pine was shot and killed in the line of duty early

this morning, while investigating a burglary call.

As the 34-year-old arrived at a residence in

southwestern Orange County, he saw the burglary

suspect and radioed in to advise he was involved in a

foot pursuit. While he chased the suspect, something

went horribly wrong and the suspect was able to

shoot at and strike Deputy Pine.
A short time later, the

suspect was found dead of a self-
inflicted gunshot

wound. A second suspect was arrested
on felony

charges.

Deputy Pine was rushed to the hospital where he died

from his injuries. He leaves behind a loving wife and

three young children. Please keep them in your thoughts

and prayers.

As we mourn Deputy Scott Pine, we pay tribute to a

man who like many before him, made the ultimate

sacrifice to serve and protect our community. Rest in

peace.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

ONE OF OUR OUT BOUND GATES WAS DESTROYED LAST NIGHT

AROUND 6;45 am this morning Fairways Watch got a call from a resident, stating that one of the out bound gates had been hit and parts of it was laying in the roadway ! The maintenance crew picked up the gate and put it to the side.
It was obvious that the gate had been hit by a vehicle, traveling in the inbound direction.
Folks, its only a matter of time before some innocent resident is hit headon by one of the inconsiderate, non law abiding IDIOTS!
possibly on a related note, we are seeing more and more beer cans, 6 pack cartons and etc ,thrown out into our community overnight.
If you notice that the front end of your neighbors car dont look quite right, you may wanto tell the office. I speculate that the gate was hit by a non resident.

NEW BURGLARY ALERT BULLETIN!

PRY, GRAB AND RUN!
There has been a daring ,daylight home burglary in the Fairways.
Around 9AM Sunday morning 2 residents, living on a court, in the front area of the park, left for church. the couple, returned around 1PM. To the dismay of the residents, they found that their well kept, beautiful home had been broken into.
The entry was made through the front door, by forcing the ''dead bolt'' with a pry bar. Once inside the thief went to the bedroom and stole an undetermined amount of jewelry.  All though there were valuable electronics inside, no attempt was made to take them.
The thief [or thieves] exited through the sliding back door.
OCSO was called and a complete investigation was made ,including taking of finger prints.
On a special positive note,---a very observant resident saw a suspicious car ,parked  at the corner of Kingsmill and Inverary. The car is descibed as follows.---Older green pontiac, damage to front area, one mismatching wheel, last 3 digits of plate, believed to be 6SN
Driver was a young white male, wearing a bandanna on his head. He was accompanied by a young white female.
A complete description of this car and its reported location was given to the investigating officers by Fairways Watch.

BEWARE--IF YOU SEE SOMETHING --SAY SOMETHING!
