THIS IS ANOTHER UPDATE OF ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE LATEST SEX OFFENDER, LIVING IN OUR COMMUNITY.
Below you will find the latest copy of the official FDLE flyer on Eric Hinkes. This is the third revision in 2 weeks.You may note that this latest photo was taken May 28, by the Department Of Motor Vehicles. This has all appearances of the updating of Hinkes drivers license. Please also note that the address from the drivers license, shows 14808 Firestone St. as his PERMANENT address.
  It would seem that Hinkes is planning on staying a while!

SECOND SEX OFFENDER UPDATE

                YEP ----HE IS STILL HERE !
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE OFFENDER
  Fairways Watch contacted the office of Captain Brett Meade of the Sheriff,s office in regard to this matter. As expected, we were told that the offender has met the Florida sex offender registering requirements, which makes his residency a CIVIL matter. The officer, went on to say that a SOS agent [sex offender squad ] will come to the Fairways to confirm his address.
   The offenders eviction is entirely the responsibility of Hometown America. Legal action must be taken by HTA, using FL. statute 723 [.061 ] paragraph B. It takes a judges signature and a court order to force the unwanted offender out! 

The above photo was taken, early AM May 24. The car plate number and description, corresponds with the offenders vehicle information provided by FDLE. It seems that the registered offender is getting settled in.

IT WORKED FOR OUR NEIGHBORS!

MANY OF OUR RESIDENTS SAW THE CHANNEL 9  NEWS STORY ABOUT THE BIG DRUG RAID, IN OUR NEIGHBORING COMMUNITY, LOCATED NEAR THE END OF SPYGLASS ST.

     This raid also involved, an attempted murder of one of our Sector 2 deputies.As I have been warned by law enforcement officers--''THESE ARE NOT NICE PEOPLE''
  This shut down of drug activity was due to the GOOD NEIGHBORS watching and calling law enforcement for suspicious activities. Below you will find some tips as to what to look and watch for.

 Do you have a drug house in your     

neighborhood?
Drug houses don’t just happen in other
neighborhoods. There are drug houses in all
types of neighborhoods. There are four things
that make a drug house:
• Product
• Buyer
• Seller
• Location
Most neighborhoods have very little control
over Product, Buyer, or Seller. Drug dealers
look for Locations where neighbors do not
communicate and isolate themselves. This
makes it easy to intimidate those neighbors
that do notice drug activity. Drug dealers like
neighborhoods that say, “It can’t happen here.”
Money is a key element for the drug dealer. If
they establish a drug house in a neighborhood
where kids and adults have money to buy
drugs, business will thrive.
What are the warning signs of drug
activity in the neighborhood?
Do any of these sound familiar?
• Excessive foot traffic to and from a house
or property
• Loitering in or around a house
• Frequent and unusual traffic patterns such
as: Stop - Enter - Leave
• Traffic frequently stops and a resident
comes out and talks briefly with occupants
of car
• Threats of intimidation connected to a
residence
• Open exchange of drugs and money
• Gang activity in the neighborhood
• Graffiti on structures in the area
• Sudden increase in crime!

As we head into the summer months and school will be let out June 4th, 2014, let us all take a few extra steps to reduce crime in our community. 

Crime Prevention is a tool that you can take with you everywhere, the store, bank, church, work etc. While you are going about your day, and you see anything out of the ordinary or observe a crime in progress, pick up your phone and call the Sheriffs Office. You may call either 911 or our non-emergency line 407-836-HELP (4357). Ensure you talk with your neighbors and inform them of the activities in the neighborhood. 

As a community and a neighbor, we can work together to lower these numbers. I challenge each and everyone of you to make a difference and lower these numbers for the next monthly report. 

These numbers can be reduced by taking that extra moment to ensure valuables are removed from your vehicles, garage doors and windows to your homes are locked. Do you see a vehicle(s) parked in a driveway to a home you know no one lives in? Call it in to law enforcment. Let's take away any opportunity for criminals to commit crimes.

THE ''CLOWN CAR'' SCENERIO

''BACK IN THE DAY'', many of us seniors, remember going to see the circus when it came to our town. The arrival of the big top and its performers is certainly something we remember most fondly.
 We remember the wild animal acts,elephants, trapeze artists and of course the clowns? They made us laugh.The one clown act that I remember in detail was the little, silly car that would come sputtering out and stopped with a loud boom. After the bang, an untold number of goofy clowns came piling out of the very small vehicle----1--2--3--4--5--then we lost count. --How many clowns were in that car?
  We have a similar ''act''in our Fairways community!--- BUT,its not funny! We have untold numbers of people living in some relatively small spaces.There seems to be an increasing problem of unapproved, unchecked, residents, moving in with others! Reportedly, we have 7-8 people living in at least one residence. A while back Priscilla said at a board meeting that they depend on residents to notify them of ''move - in''violations.----Folks we have to do it!--Go to the office or call them--even better notify them in writing.

YES FOLKS, THEY ARE IN HERE!

This attached photo, taken at 3 am,Monday morning near the front of the park says a lot. Here is a young no name, prowling around a home with no obvious good intent.---WOULD IT NOT BE NICE TO HAVE A REMOTE LIVE AGENT SECURITY GATE SYSTEM?--We could have had one at a very reasonable cost.----WHY NOT?--Because the homeowners committee claims there was an election voting it down {nearly 20 years ago]-- and HTA would rather spend money on a ''watchamcallit' like we have at the Greenbriar.
  We are also getting an increase in pool complaints for young outsider students and family members of the outside golfers.
 WE CAN NOT AFFORD A POOL MONITOR EITHER!
