SOME UPDATES AND A SHERIFF ACTIVITY REPORT

Fairways Watch is continually asked, one question, over and over again. IS THE REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER STILL LIVING ON FIRESTONE ST? The answer is a simple YES! Furthermore there is no legal filings relating to this person posted in the public Orange County Clerk Of Courts web site.
There does however appear to be progress made on the ''overcrowded'' rental house,in the 14400 block of Spyglass St.  Where there once was as many as 5--6 cars parked nightly , the residence now seems unoccupied. We have received many comments on this home, in the past.
Some residents have been asking about all of the police activity on Maidstone, last evening. ---Here is what we know.---Around 7 PM Sunday evening, 2 OCSO units came into the Fairways, at a good rate of speed, with light bars on --no sirens. A very observant resident saw a middle aged ,white male, dive up in a black Jaguar car. The occupant ,after a few minutes, started loading tools and other items from a shed on the 14500 block of Maidstone. The resident called 911 and properly described the situation. The 2 police units were dispatched under a ''code 3''. In only a very short time, the suspect was handcuffed and secured in one of the cruisers.
After some time the homeowner appeared and would not press charges. The situation is probably best described as a ''misunderstanding'', involving a  financial dispute, between 2 parties that were acquainted with one another. After talking to the homeowner, the middle aged male was released from custody.
The above narrative points out one thing, very well. When 911 is called---it is imperative that strong, accurate details of the existing situation, be given to the dispatcher! The good resident, last evening, did just that. The 911 dispatchers have the option using 3 different codes to the officers. Last night a code 3 was properly used and they got here quickly!

AND,WE ASK---WHY NOT?

Almost a year ago, Fairways Watch along with several dedicated, LEGAL residents, did an extensive study of different security gate systems. This study took approximately 4 months to complete.with input from 8 different security system vendors and law enforcement. [ details of study can be seen in the Oct 28 post titled ''Its time for a new beginning'']
Upon completion of our study, a 13 page report was sent to local, regional and corporate management in Chicago. Receipt of the report was acknowledged by Steve Braun --.Mr Braun went on to say that the timing was good, due to budget planning time. He further asked for supplemental vendor information, We hand delivered another estimated 50 pages of back up info to the local office.----CASE CLOSED.---- We have yet to receive a comment or rejection of any kind. The only response came through Priscilla at a board meeting, saying that  HTA did not plan to do anything about gate security!
In the security study, we also gathered detailed information on KEY CARD POOL GATE LOCKS. We had specifications and information on several card operated systems. The card gate lock probably got the ''DEEP SIX FILE", just like the rest of the gate study report.
It would seem that Hometown, looks at its residents, with disdain and in general,--as a ''BUNCH OF SILLY OLD FARTS''---To this we say---''The LEGAL residents know more about what goes on in the Fairways than the non resident managers do'' !-----HOW CAN THAT BE ?---SIMPLE---BECAUSE WE CARE AND WE LIVE IN HERE--- 24/7 ---  We invested our money and future in the Fairways.----CAN ANY OF THE KEY MANAGEMENT FOLKS SAY THE SAME?
SO---WE ASK WHY!
WHY CAN NOT KEY CARD POOL GATE LOCKS BE INSTALLED AT THE 3 POOLS?
If this was properly done, and EACH LEGAL HOUSEHOLD, given ONE key card, It would go a long way to getting rid of SOME of the pool problems.
AT THE PRESENT TIME, THERE IS A PETITION AT THE GREENBRIER, FOR LEGAL RESIDENTS TO SIGN FOR KEY CARD POOL GATE LOCKS!
PLEASE FOLKS , GO SIGN THE PETITION FOR THE LOCKS.

UNDER THE RADAR!

History of the phrase; Prior to electronic counter measures, military aircraft would fly beneath the Radio Detection and Ranging (RADAR) in order not to be detected by enemy forces. This term started out as a military phrase in the 1950's.

Pop-Culture definition; generally an insult or can be used as advice.
1. To not stand-out, to remain quite.
2. To not drawn any attention to yourself either positively or negatively.
By not standing out or gaining any positive or negative attention, the person 'flying under the radar

Yes folks we have an ''under the radar ''problem , right here in ''River City'' There are ,unregistered, unapproved residents, felons, sex offenders, pool invaders, and druggies, all coming in to use and enjoy  our community and our  amenities.---HOW DO THEY GET IN HERE?--Its simple, they just come in.
It seems that their favorite move in and come in time is always after 5 PM-- wonder why ?---answer--that is when the office is closed
The unregistered residents favorite move in time is Saturday afternoon or early Saturday evening.---They know that there is no one in the office or working out in the park.---and no security at the gate .
Once these folks get settled in here, it,s tough to get them out!As it has been stated before--- IT TAKES A JUDGES SIGNATURE. The current ongoing information, about HUD  and the 80/20 age violation is another item of note.
The out of control pool visitors is a serious breach of the legal residents sovereignty. Recently We experienced a confrontation with 3 young people that we believed came from Frank St or Deerwood. They were at the Greenbrier pool ---no pool passes. The three said that they were coming in to ''VISIT GRAND MA"" ---- We followed them to a residents house and a  confrontation occured involving an elder female resident and a very young female resident. YES---pool passes were brought from within the house and thrown into the air.---BUT---Why IN THE HELL, ARE FRANK ST RESIDENTS COMING IN HERE TO USE OUR POOLS ?  Legal guests are supposed to be accompanied by a legal resident.
A while back, at a board meeting Priscilla asked for residents to advise the office of suspected residency violations.---We need to do just that---call the office-NO-- better yet---take phone pictures and write a hard copy notice and deliver it along with sending a carbon copy to Chicago and Gena.
