PROBLEMS FROM THE OUTSIDE!

Fairways Watch has received numerous reports of a speeding ORANGE DODGE CHARGER! [similar to picture]
 The car is regularly seen, early in the mornings and late afternoons.--- The most frequent reporting is on and around Warwick Hills Dr. One resident was almost ran over at 5;30am, putting out trash on garbage day!
 With the help of several Warwick Hills residents---we have obtained the following collaborated information.
 Around 5-6 am every workday morning---The orange Dodge comes to a certain home ,on the circle. 
 A young female driver''drops off'' a small child,possibly for the purpose of ''daycare''
 After the child is left at the known house---The orange Dodge car roars off --in a ridiculous manner, with exhaust and tire noise.
   WHY?---WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR?
 Earlier today, Fairways Watch, sent a detailed narrative of this repeated ''fiasco''.with the known house physical address!
 At this writing ----Priscilla responded and will let the people involved know!---If it continues---advise Priscilla

OUR NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

THE FAIRWAYS NIGHT OUT--Will be held Tuesday October 4. The informal gathering ,will be from 7 until 9 PM, At our new Masters!
  Our HOA is working to have some sandwich ''food snacks'' from our local Pulix store. Upon a written request from our HOA, --Publix ,graciously donated a gift certificate to help cover our costs for snack sandwiches.---THANK YOU PUBLIX--you are appreciated!
     Some residents have suggested ,to bring additional ''POT LUCK'' dishes.----This sounds like a wonderful idea!---As an example ,--we will bring an old recipe orange jello, with sour cream desert.
  Other suggestions,--maybe potato or macaroni salad.-
deserts of any kind,-- All  of your suggestions and contributions will be appreciated.
 COME ON FOLKS--THROW OUT YOUR THOUGHTS.
 Folks ---this is a mix and mingle type get together. Residents will have a first hand opportunity to talk with some of the finest law officers and first responders,---anywhere in our great country!
 We plan on ''FIRING UP'' our new fire pit. ---Many of us has never seen it in operation.
  I am sending, both Sheriff Demmings, and Captain Garrison a personal invitation,--to join us around the fire pit.

FOUR WHEEL PREDATORS!

Many of the Fairways residents enjoy and appreciate ,some of the many unlisted amenities that we have living among us.----We make reference to the many species of                                                                                                                 beautiful wildlife, around-- and in our community.

SADLY ,EARLY THIS MORNING--2 OF OUR BEAUTIFUL ''AFLAC'' PEKIN DUCKS WERE LITERALLY SLAUGHTERED BY A ''STUPID 

AZZ'' --NON -DRIVING IDIOT!!

 The remains of the carcasses, leads to believe that the non-flying birds were struck and ran over,by a vehicle ,far in excess of the NEW posted 15 MPH!

Many times--we slow down or stop for the protected SandHill cranes.----Why not the smaller unprotected, defenseless creatures?

Many of us , go out in the evenings ,with the purpose of just watching, some of Gods more curious and precious creatures. 

 The Pekin ducks are very trusting with humans--at times they are can be almost like pets.

This breed of ducks are domesticated and can not fly or move very quickly.

AN UNRELATED EVENT

Early this AM--around 7;30--Fairways watch--witnessed the following----We were stopped at the Kingsmill stop sign at Inverary

Very quickly-- came a small red Ford Focus,up Inverary--headed for the gate.---Their speed was estimated at far above the 15 MPH limit! There was no decrease in speed or brake lights,--as the car roared through the stop sign at Pebble Beach!----ADIOS YOU OLD FARTS!

 I recognized the driver as an under 55 years of age,registered female resident that lives on Pine Valley.

 I have gotten other negative comments of her ''stupid azz'' driving habits!

SO-- WHAT CAN WE DO?

Randy and I have cussed and discussed ,some of the ''driving fools'' in here many times.---The main problem is ---there is no legal means of enforcement for common sense driving ,in our troubled  community!

 I will attempt this---Fairways Watch owns a small 

''portable dash video cam'', --It can be mounted on my golf cart or truck.---Over a year ago--Randy and I used it up around the gate, during the burglary crisis.

 We did get some positive results of walk ins, even at night.

 Possibly---if we can get a few videos of some crazies, 

driving in here--it might help!

 Most of us remember the old Abbott & Costello, legendary comedy skit--''WHO IS ON FIRST?''
 In our community--we have a similar ''SKIT''--''WHO is REALLY, living in the Fairways?''
 Our HOA board is fortunate to have an excellent ''director of homeowners'', in Randy Muehl. Month after month, Randy solicits questions from our residents, and then follows up by submitting their questions in writing to the Fairways management. --Far too often the responses are,---incoherent or seemingly unhelpful and sometimes,are not even related to the simple questions asked.----EXAMPLES-- as taken from our last HOA minutes
 Randy asked--''What are we doing to police the number of underage, nonresident, questionable felons, moving into the community?--is the community patrolled?--How do we monitor rental houses and who the leases are?--Do we ever just knock on the door and check things out?''
GREAT QUESTIONS RANDY!
 Our manager answered---
''These questions have been asked repeatedly---We have never had a public patrol---We have asked the residents about their desire to have a full time gate attendant and share the cost--The board turned it down on the behalf of the residents!''
  ''WE register rental residents the same way all other residents register--with an application of residency--if you are referring to a homeowner who rents out their home or a home of a deceased relative, and does not notify the office---The only way that management can know, is by the help of the neighboring residents!''

Our manager continues---
 ''EVERY RESIDENT HAS A RIGHT TO THEIR PRIVACY''
  ''Management does not have the right to go up to a house and demand to know the identity of each person in the home---just like other residents and Neighborhood Watch!''
  We dont want to create a negative environment for our residents!''

So---there you have it folks--- it's all OUR FAULT if the felons and unknowns are in here with us!

A SPECIAL NOTE AND A BIT OF HISTORY

CURRENTLY--THE PERSON BELOW IS WANTED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE!
In July of 2011 ,this man was arrested in the FAIRWAYS--for all of the crimes listed below!
 This well known drug dealer was known as ''J-BABY'' to some of his customers that were living in the community.--[ they are now deceased or have moved from our community]
 This man was tracked into the Fairways in July of 2011, by the ''TAC'' squad of OCSO. ---He then preceded to allude the officers by driving on the golf course, and finally wrecking his car between 2 houses on Inverary. ''J- Baby'' was arrested by a K-9 deputy,shortly there after on Kingsmill-----It was not pretty!
 J- Baby went to state prison and was released in 2015.
 During this episode, Captain Massie had over 30 units in the Fairways!--a massive successful operation!
 NOW--OCSO IS LOOKING FOR THIS MAN FOR A DIFFERENT REASON---  HE IS A PERSON OF INTEREST IN THE MISSING PERSON OF A YOUNG WHITE FEMALE!--All details are currently on ALL of our TV stations
 I am sending an info note to Deputy Conner--regarding the knowledge that this man has of the Fairways.---Per the TV accounts--he has been seen in the nearby area.

Upon receipt of our Email--Deputy Conner replied--''IF SEEN--CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY--WE WANT HIM!''

WATCH IN REMEMBRANCE!

 Recently, it seems that we , in the Fairways have had an abnormal loss in numbers of residents by their passing. We would request that all of us watch over the recently vacated homes. 
 It was a well established fact ,by 22 burglaries last year,that we have the possibilities of theft losses from furnished,and uninhabited houses.
 It would be foolish to give out the referenced decadents homes addresses. Most of our good neighbors, in the neighborhoods, know which of the  homes are unoccupied.
 Lets all be good neighbors and guardians for the homes left behind. If anyone suspects unknown people, around a vacant home---call the law enforcement number of 407 836 4357, for a security check.
AN UNRELATED ISSUE 

We have received complaints from renters of the RV storage compound. These good people pay at an average price of $60--$70 per-month for parking space at the enclosed compound. Recently--the gates have been left open, sometimes by residents & other times by the Maint. people. The renters are demanding what they are paying for!

BEWARE--THESE SCAMMERS ARE AROUND HERE!

Recently,a Fairways couple moved to an assisted living facility--out of the immediate area.As many folks have done,--they listed their very nice home for sale.
 After a short period---cars started coming to the home and looking at the house with no realtor present. 
To make a long story short----an observant resident noticed the strange activity. The owners were notified & upon investigation---this nice home was listed on CRAIGSLIST ---for the very ''affordable'' price of $500 per month plus $600 ''security deposit''---OH YES--THIS WAS A HELL OF A DEAL!
  The owners quickly advised the realtor, and the Craigs listing was removed!
 Just another reason to keep the gates working !

SCAM NUMBER TWO--MOVING SCAM!

Some residents may have seen this unusual scene early one morning recently.

 Here is the abbreviated story---A new resident buyer from the mid-west ,contracted a moving firm to bring his belongings to the Fairways.

The moving company selected [with due diligence]

 was Supreme Van Lines of Miami Fl.

 The initial agreed on written estimate was $1355.00.

 After many weaves and bobbing--the final ''ransom'' payment, demanded

 was over $ 2600.00 with additional physical damage to his Fairways home!

THE GRANDFATHER CLOCK ---was not delivered with the furniture!

 After days of threatening--the clock pictured above was left in the street intersection, in the middle of the night!

The clock was damaged beyond repair!

By law their is little protection against heathens like these.

We have seen stories like this on TV-- but folks --it can happen anywhere!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

BROKEN GATE VISITORS!

VERY SUSPICIOUS PEOPLE!

About 4 PM Saturday afternoon,Fairways Watch received a call from a couple,regarded as some of our best active ''watchers''--- it was reported that 2 people--not believed to be residents, were going ''door to door''---down the east end of Spyglass St.

 Upon joining the watchers,--we confronted the two pictured above. Their explanation was that they were ''collecting newspaper bills'' for the Orlando Sentinel!

THAT IS BULL-CRAP

Most folks know that business with the Sentinel is only done by phone or on line.

It had been also reported,that they had shook a door handle on a house after knocking!

We all demanded that they cease and desist & immediately leave the Fairways---they were also advised that 911 was called.

 The two started walking west bound on Spyglass, as to leave the park. We, the observers were monitoring their departure. The two people,''detoured'' around Maidstone as if not ready to leave. After a reminder that the ''sheriff was on the way''---the two asked for a ride to their truck----we respectfully declined--for obvious security issues.

 We 3 observers continued following these folks to the

broken outbound gate. The 2 questionable folks, walked across to our ''infamous'' filling station. The 2 visitors were joined by 2 other unknown men in a gold colored Lincoln!

 All of this information will be sent to Deputy Conner.

ANYONE SEEING THESE PEOPLE OR THE PICTURED CAR, IN OUR COMMUNITY--PLEASE NOTIFY FAIRWAYS WATCH OR CALL 911.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF CAUTION NEEDED AT THE MAIL BOXES---AND AN UPDATE!

BE ON GUARD AT THE MAIL BOXES!

The new traffic pattern at our mail box area, can be a much better arrangement, if all folks abide by the signage and common sense. I do believe that we do have a way to go for complete safety.

 HOWEVER,--there is a new caution to be issued for our mail pickup.

Saturday evening, about 7;30 pm-- Fairways Watch received 3 different calls from concerned residents. The comments were all the same subject.

An older black car was parked in the front area of the mail structure. A young male ,got out of the car, picked up-- and carried some of the ''trashed'' mail from the green refuse box,---and threw the rejected mail into the rear seat of the automobile!!

We were out in the park at the time that the calls were made---but the car had left ,before we arrived. One caller said that 911 was called ,but no dispatch was shown on service calls.

  NEXT QUESTION WHY?

We can only speculate that someone was after discarded coupons,--or,--more important--financial information,such as pre-approved credit card offers with names and addresses!

NEVER--NEVER DISCARD ANY TYPES OF YOUR PERSONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION AT THE OPEN MAIL BOX TRASH!

On the evening of July 20--we received a call from one of our most trusted and active members of Fairways Watch. This person had seen & identified,the young man,pictured,--leaving a home on Inverary Dr.

This young man was picked up by another young ''person of interest''  resident, in an identified car!

 The address was noted .

 Adding to the observance was the fact that a matching golf cart ,in the picture was in the same car port.

The following morning---all this information was sent to Priscilla Herrick.--- Priscilla had been told previously of this young man--his picture,--and the information of 2 previous sheriff dispatches for him!

The address & name of the owner,and cart picture was all sent to the office.

 We got a prompt reply---

''What was I concerned about?''---''What was it about the golf cart that concerns me?''---

AND--LAST BUT NOT LEAST----''IS THERE AN UNREGISTERED RESIDENT LIVING AT THE HOME??''

  HELLS--BELLS WOMAN,---you are the one that is supposed to know who is living in here!

So many times we all ask----''WHO DO WE HAVE LIVING IN HERE?''---that is a good question!---case in point is made in the narrative and pictures below!
The picture below is that of a sheriff's

unit called to a home on Warwick Hills ,--for the second time on the same day.

The officers were originally dispatched, earlier in the day for a ''petty theft'' call at the same address.

Around 6;30 PM---The officers were called back to ''remove'' a young white male, that has been living at that house.---reportedly the officers ,instructed him to put his belongings in trash bags ,and leave the house!

 The picture below was taken as the young man left the Warwick Hills area.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO THIS YOUNG MAN IS OR MORE IMPORTANT---WHERE IS HE LIVING AT NOW?

We believe that he has moved to another house in our community!---The cart is a very generic model with little distinguishing equipment.---Please note the small american flag ,on the upper front windshield, and black box on left rear.----If anyone has the requested information --please contact Fairways Watch, anonymously, and the information will be given to management for rule enforcement!----MANAGEMENT CAN ENFORCE EVENTS SUCH AS THIS---IF THEY HAVE KNOWLEDGE!

  Management may say ---''the mcgillacutti perdunkle '' broke and the parts are on order---SO WHAT?---did they ever hear of overnite Federal Express?
  Recently , the community has had some unusual happenings.----The misdeeds at the pools are a large part of the mysteries--but not all. We have numerous encounters of unknown visitors in here. 
  Take a look at the right side outgoing gate post----it has already been hit and pulled out of plumb!
  The open gates with the ''inviting signs'' say it all!

 I would encourage the concerned residents to ''BADGER'' HTA management--beyond the local command!

What is a crotch rocket?

A crotch rocket is a special type of motorcycle, very popular, especially among young men, usually for it's power to weight ratio, speed and killer looks. Since it is easy to handle and fast, it is very popular among stunters. It's a beautiful sport bike with an aerodynamic shape, capable of high speeds.

 Yes--- this young man is a resident!--estimated age of 19-20 years !
The reports of speeds are in excess of 50MPH in the 14700 block of Spyglass

SOME PEOPLE NEED TO GROW UP!

We should all be able to enjoy our great holiday in a PEACEFUL environment.
Fairways Watch has received numerous complaint calls regarding illegal fireworks in our retirement community.
 Not only does the loud explosions disturb the residents ,but also the loving pets and our beautiful wildlife.
 Our community rules, in our new prospectus, states that there will be no fireworks discharged in our community. [page 14]
 In addition to our own rules, the Florida laws prohibit most fireworks in a NON COMMERCIAL manner.

Florida law prohibits any fireworks that fly through the air or explode — such as Roman candles, bottle rockets and mortars — for recreational use. But according to state law, if they are used to scare off birds from farms or fish hatcheries, the explosives are fair game.Jul 1, 2013

SOME NEW ''RESIDENTS''

WELCOME!

Normally the mission of this blog is to inform our community of the security issues that affect us. Unfortunately,much of the posts are of a negative nature.
  Let's take a break and discuss something positive.
Within the past 2 weeks, a good kind resident ,donated an additional 10 beautiful ''Pekin'' ducks to our community ponds.
The Pekin duck is the most popular commercial duck breed in the United States, after a small number were imported to Long Island from China in 1873 by James Palmer of Stonington, Connecticut. The animals are sometimes referred to as "Long Island duckling".

 These beautiful creatures are sociable with humans and respond to attention----especially when bread  ''crumbs'' are present.
 These 3 groups of 5 each maybe seen around the Westchester pools area---the fountain pond---and the far east pond on Spyglass St.
 Some may not consider our wonderful wild life as an amenity----BUT---many of us do think that the assorted animals and birds do add to our environment. 
  An extra treat is to go to the dogwalk areas , and meet some of our great canine friends. Frequently, you maybe able to meet ''big Frank'' [Boxer mix]---''Stanley'' [great Dane] or the ever sweet ''Suka''--the [blue eyed Huskey] 
 SO----take time to enjoy some of the FREE amenities we have

       SLOW DOWN---DAMN IT!

About mid -week, HTA changed all of the speed limit signs to 15 MPH--in all areas. I personally agree with this change---BUT--- There was nothing in place, to enforce the old 20 MPH speed!--Law enforcement can not do anything on private roads.
 It is sad to see the carcasses of wild life and small domestic animals laying on our roadways,early in the morning. -!---All from careless non law abiding IDIOTS!---This loss normally happens at night.
  This speed reduction was listed in the long list of changes in our letter that we received last November.----One might wonder when some of the other shoes will drop.
Bear in mind-- in the same change letter---the prospectus deleted the ''cost of living'' increase limit and replaced it with ''fair market value''
 This past week ,the Associated Press announced that social security checks will INCREASE next year!----A whopping average of $2.50 per month!----

Strange people----coming in bare footed ,with back packs on bicycles!-----They just don't seem to fit the profiles of most Fairways residents!----Sorry about that for being so ''politically incorrect''---but---whatever!
 We have tried to politely, respectively talk to these folks---but nothing of value comes out---only cover-up and fabrication.
  I have no hesitation to call 911 for suspicious people, but the response time usually does not work out.
THE ONLY KNOWN AID FOR THESE ''UNKNOWNS'' IS A GATE MONITOR SYSTEM!
