Several cars and trucks [REPORTEDLY LOCKED ] were broken into, with money and other items of value taken.

We do not have a clue as to who is prowling around our neighborhood at the ''wee'' hours of the morning and night.---There are ways to identify ,people entering the Fairways on a 24/7 basis that is practical and affordable ! Fairways Watch ,has been working on a comprehensive, target hardening project since July.

ADDENDUM TO THE ABOVE--Recently a noted felon has moved back within one mile of the Fairways. This person is a registered sex offender,convicted cocaine dealer,and has been convicted of various thefts. This person has been a suspect of previous burglaries in the Fairways, including the maintenance building. At one time he possessed a Fairways gate ''clicker''
IT SURE WOULD BE BENEFICIAL TO KNOW WHEN, AND IF HE COMES THROUGH OUR GATE !

Wake up residents! What Bill is telling you is true, we don't know who gets in here day or night. Let's plug the hole.
Wake up residents! If your not going to spend the money up front to stop the criminals from getting in here, then you WILL pay for it later. The criminals are not selective - they will rob from you and steal from you. It's all a matter of time.

Just an FYI. I have a motion detector light on my carport that scared away potential perpetraitors. Now that I know they visited, I spent $60.00 and bought a wireless camera so if they come back I will have pictures for the Sheriff deputy. Ya do what you gotta do!
Again, I believe that if our Manager LIVED here at Fairways, it would be a different story. You move here thinking you would be safe in this "Gated Community", being a northern gal, I must have the wrong idea on what SAFE means....... And WHY, if these wonderful felons are living here, can't we kick them out? If you have mold on your home or your yard needs edged, they don't hesitate to hound us! Why are we protecting them?? Once again, if our Manager lived here, I think it would be a different story, there would be GUARDS at the gate so we could feel SAFE and BE SAFE. Thank you Bill H. for trying to keep us safe and for keeping us up to date on all the good and bad here at Fairways.
