IT MAY NOT BE ALL BAD!

Most Fairways residents have received their annual notice of lot increase and related cost information.from Hometown America. The lot increase is primarily based on the estimated cost of living increase for the previous year. This approximate 2% estimate comes from our ''all knowing, all caring ''---federal government. [Too bad Publix super market does not adhere to this small increase].
The most noteworthy item, besides the lot increase is the ''application fee increase''. For people making application for Fairways residency, the cost has been to increased to $ 40.00 per person! It is hoped that HTA will use this increased fee, to better screen the prospective buyers, and most importantly--- RENTERS !
It is a documented fact, that there are both home owners and renters, with multiple felony convictions, residing in the Fairways. We do not need anymore.
There are numerous, reliable, investigative services available, on the internet, in addition to the public version of the FDLE report. The FDLE report costs about  $25.00.
IF THE APPLICATION FEE INCREASE IS USED WISELY, IT COULD BE A PLUS FOR THE GOOD CURRENT RESIDENTS!

last i heard HTA doe not do lease rentals anymore, so the renters that are here are from private owners and if they are not told to go register to live here then they dont so the app fee increase is mute.

Also the fhaoi has a lot more authority that then know how to use and anyone who says there is no conflict of interest exicting on the Board does not understand what creates the conflict. So there ya go

A big concern should be the home owners who rent to people they have not sent to the office. How about the sex offender, is her still there, did he pay for a background check? No they still can't get him out. Sure he would pay $40.00 to stay.

I believe that HTA is only interested in getting monies. There are more and more new homes coming in, objective is to sell them, increase the application fee and make more money...sell, sell,sell.. I dont think they care who is here renting or illegally, because as long as someone is paying the lot rent, there is profit. Now, stop paying rent and see how fast they GET YOU OUT.... you will have an eviction notice and legal proceedings in a heartbeat!!!!
