SORRY INCIDENT AT THE GATE

THE NARRATIVE BELOW, DESCRIBES AN UNCALLED FOR EVENT, NEAR OUR GATE! Woman in alcoholic trapped, she s on the bottom of the bottle and the cloud of evil grabbed her with his tenacious claws Stock Vector - 18046535
Around 10 PM Saturday night, March 28--Fairways Watch received a call from a long time Fairways resident. The resident vividly described the following.
They and another couple were returning to the park, after a dinner out around 9:10 PM. While coming through our gate they all noticed a younger white male behaving strangely. The man was waving his arms, yelling incoherently, walking into our ''GATED PREMIER COMMUNITY'' This younger male was described in the following manner.---Scruffy general appearance,-- dirty orange T shirt,-- dirty blue jeans, arms and neck were heavily tattooed --[excuse please , I should have said adorned with ''body art'']--and totally ''under the influence'' of something.
The good residents stopped and asked the ''gentleman'' if he was Ok. The man immediately became belligerent and combative---WANTING TO FIGHT--challenging the residents,-- all for no reason---He was cursing profusely while stating --''I AM GOING TO SEE MY GIRL FRIEND, IS THAT OKAY?''--- Boy, I will bet that she is a real winner also!
The good residents did EXACTLY what they should have done.---They backed away and called 911. The residents gave the 911 dispatcher, good descriptive information. While waiting on a deputy, the residents tried to keep track of the offensive visitor with out success. After the officer arrived, the person in question could not be located.
There is however a strong POSSIBILITY that the''visitor''--- went to a house in the Pebble Beach, --Torrey Pines Ct area. Numerous times similar characters have been known to frequent that particular region of our community.
This is just another example of why we need an effective gate security system.---- But note we need a system that identifies and deters undesirables, ---not a stooge door man for ''Billy Casper & Co'',--- that we the residents would totally pay for.

What happened with the code brick unit at gate area? When will it be repaired?

Reportedly, the kiosk was damaged by a small county bus , coming in to transport a handicapped resident. Believe it or not it is still functional
The problem is --no one uses it--visitors would rather tailgate residents in!

Defiantly need a full time guard/guards at entrance. It is so easy to get into the community. Would be willing to pay HOA fee a month to cover things like this. God forbid, someone getting hurt with a stranger coming in the neighborhood to burglarize.

11:24 we pay enough rent to have a gate like Bill looked into hta will not do it . it would hurt billy Casper which they also make tons of $ off of the bottom line is money talks and others walk

This place has become unreal. It used to be a nice place to live, there were wonderful activities, beautiful lakes, a restaurant, a general peaceful place. It is such a shame to see so many of the "good" folks that live here putting their homes up for sale. It no longer is a nice place to live, but some of us are stuck and cannot afford to move out. Oh and BTW, when I was going out this afternoon, the outgoing gate was propped open.

The outgoing gate has been open for 2 days now!!!!

RE 5;25
TRUE --Billy Casper passed away.---BUT---The large corporation of which he was founder of, will live on. This corporation will continue to have a profound negative affect on our gate security and the operation of our twindleing amenities.

Body Art! always gotta be politically correct. those people are braver than me. nowadays you have to be concerned with someone shooting you if you look at them the wrong way. glad they're ok but that was a smart thing to do late saturday nite.

I'm really tired of all the anonymous people having all these encounters with the dirt balls that are slithering, and sometime living, in our community and doing nothing to make a difference. At what point will we stand up and say enough is enough and take SOME kind of action? I guarantee if some idiot got in my face and challenged me, he would be carried out. We don't always have time for the police to get here before the bad guys vanish. I'm not a bad ass or encouraging any violence or stupid stuff, but if I or anyone in my community feel threatened, I will do whatever necessary to keep them safe. We should not have to look over our shoulder every time we leave our home or return. It's time to fight back and let it start with me......

until the FHAOI actually uses the little power that it does have to bring some legal pressure to bear on HTA...NOTHING and I do mean NOT A DAMN thing will change. The Board needs to do its JOB starting with the Dir of Homeowners!!!

There are Laws that protect us and things in the prospectus that HTA skirts around, BUT if no one is willing to look into this in a "legal" manner then you see what we get!.....Come on FAOI spend a little of that $24K you have sitting around!!!!!!!!! Do something for the residents and see then how many get interested!!

RE FRED
I could not agree more!!--Fred and I both attended the past board meeting, when Attorney Daniel Perry, spoke to the board and attending residents. I can not speak for Fred,---but--to say the least,---I was impressed with the attorney.I would hope that the board would consider, entering into a retainer, advisory agreement with him.
WE, THE RESIDENTS NEED A GOOD LEGAL VOICE!---Even if it means giving up some donuts and party hot dogs.---What good is our paltry little cash box, if it is not used to defend our security and protect our REMAINING amenities?
YES ---our power is quite limited,---BUT---DAMN IT ,LETS USE WHAT WE HAVE!!
It seems that the attitude of many residents, is THIS ---''WILL SOMEBODY ELSE DO SOMETHING?''

NUFF SAID!

The ignorant comments of Anonymous 10:40 am is exactly what we don't néed! Let's stay on point, shall we? It's only by sticking together as a community that we can solve some of these problems.

SPECIAL NOTE
THE PURPOSE OF THIS BLOG IS TO INFORM RESIDENTS OF SECURITY ISSUES. IT IS NOT FOR PERSONAL ATTACKS ON FELLOW RESIDENTS. IN THE PAST SOME COMMENTS HAVE SLIPPED BY MODERATION --NO MORE. I HAVE EVEN HAD ANONYMOUS COMMENTS [not published] NAMING SUSPECTED BURGLARS. We need to keep the focus on security problems and not throwing rocks at legitimate residents..

Thank you Bill for making that comment. This blog is not intented to "air dirty laundry" on neighbors. Should not be a "gossip site".

Perhaps not accepting anonymous comments would keep things focused here.
