2 MORE BREAK-INS AND ONE ATTEMPT IN THE FAIRWAYS LAST NIGHT!

MONDAY NIGHT__June 2nd ---THE THIEVES WERE WORKING OVERTIME! ---TWO BURGLARIES ON GREENSIDE CT. AND ONE ATTEMPT ON A PREVIOUSLY BURGLARIZED HOUSE ON THE 2200 BLOCK OF PEBBLE BEACH.
Around 1AM  the resident on Pebble Beach ,heard a noise thought to be her screen door open. When she went o her main ''slider''---she found it open about 5 inches, and a flash light shining through.  The senior resident immediately called 911. 2 OCSO responded quickly and searched the area and went out into the park. ---A bar in the slider kept the door from being fully opened.
This AM ---It was discovered that 2 more, nearby homes on Greenside ct, had been completely burglarized. Both of these homes had the main doors broken open with pry bars,---dead bolts had been in place.
One of the Greenside homes had a very small safe stolen,---carried away.
A total of 4 OCSO units were involved, with excellent response time. Reports were filed on all incidents.
PLEASE NOTE THAT A VERY HEAVY ,OLDER TV WAS MOVED TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE INTERIOR OF A ANTIQUE TRUNK!

its time to call a "Special Meeting" of the FHAOI and all residents...per Article V section 4 of our By-Laws quote-->"Section 4. SPECIAL MEETINGS. Special meetings of the members may be called at any time by the President or by a majority of the Board of Directors. Special meetings shall be held if ten percent (10%) of the members entitled to vote sign, date, and deliver one or more written demands for the meeting to the Association Secretary. Said demands must describe the purpose(s) for which the meeting is to be held and posting procedures shall comply with Section 6 of this article.--->end quote

Lets get the demand started and we need about 70+ people to sign to force a meeting or the President can step up and do it himself!!~!!~

Were the two houses on Greenside Court occupied?

THE TWO GREENSIDE HOMES WERE UN OCCUPIED AT THE TIME OF THE CRIMES. ONE HOMEOWNER HAD LEFT FOR A SHORT VACATION THE DAY BEFORE

You mentioned that the attempted break-in on Pebble Beach was a previous burglary... Is this the 2nd break-in on the same home??

Was ocso able to lift a good set of fingerprints from the tv?

Let's stop paying our Lot rent. PERIOD. See how H.A, likes that.

We need to really concentrate on that area. Somebody or somebodies are really watching that area carefully or live in that area, not really sure which and the possibilites are endless. But where do we start?? They hit randomly at night, they are hitting basically the same area and now repeating themselves by attempting to break in the same house a second time. The fear factor continues to grow as it should because this is certainly a very threatening thing. I think that we should have an emergency meeting and really really soon like Fred or somebody suggested. We need a large area for this meeting because I think that there will be a really big turn out.

Could someone please inform me why the newspapers or tv media is not being informed about all of these break-ins? I watch the news everynight and that is all you see on tv. How do the media know about those break-ins and not ours?

Bill, How are we supposed to get in touch with you in case of emergency? do you have a number that you would be willing to give out to the resident here?

RE 2;47
MY CELL NUMBER IS PUBLISHED IN THE EAGLE DIRECTORY EVERY MONTH--ALSO THE MAGNETIC PASSOUTS HAVE IT--THEY ARE AVAILABLE AT THE HOA OFFICE.

Bill, now according to rumor the board would like to put the tv person in charge of neighborhood watch. What a BIG mistake if were not for you things would be much worse!!!! If any board members read this you had better think more than twice about replacing Bill with anyone.

We are all for getting any kind of help with this problem, but what can we accomplished by having this emergency meeting? I am not saying we do not want one, just please explain what we can do, if the police haven't caught them? What can the residents accomplish? Thanks

RE 4:17
I would answer your comment with a comment of my own. Fairways Watch is not and has never been a function, under the control of our HOA. The watch has always operated in an independent manner,--under the Orange County Sheriffs Office. Our appointment and approval was given, after an extensive background check ,by the Sector 2 sheriff's office 5 years ago.Although, I work under the sheriff's office ,I work for the good residents of the Fairways and not for the HOA or HTA.
I would humbly suggest that our troubled community would be better served by the board members if they concentrated on the individual jobs that they were elected to do.

The "Meeting" would be about Crime & Safety: ie-- Neighborhood Watch and Nextdoor and block Captains and how this all works and the roles each plays and the responsibilities. Lets Just Do This and SOON!!!!!!!!!

cant we have OCSO patrol more often in here. theyre needed

A big part of HTA's responsibility in all this is Pricillas ignorance as to who lives here. There are many, many residents that own multiple homes, and they rent them. Are they all registered? Not a chance! Just look around here....we all see people going in houses and obviously living there that are too young or have so many people living in the house they park their cars in the grass! Her response when questioned about unregistered residents! '"Give me an address and take a picture".

I have a better idea Pricilla, do your job! You know when someone owns more than one home in here. It's your responsibility to find out who is living in that home and make sure the owner of that home registers those people.

Pricilla, you have lost control of this community. HTA, take note: this will not end well for you. But look at the bright side, You have an obvious scape goat cause who do you think will take the fall when this finally comes to a head?

MR Nero, may I suggest that you not try to reinvent the wheel. Neighborhood Watch is just that, an organization of volunteers that care for the community they live in and want to make it safe for its residents through awareness of unusual activity in their neighborhood. Rather than attempting to try to start your own system why don't you approach Bill Heldreth and ask how you can help? Maybe all residents need to do that. Neighborhood Watch is not an enforcement agency, leave that to the professionals and just be watchful of what goes on and report illegal or suspicious activity to the law enforcement agency.

Have all these break-ins happened because of people that live in here or people that Ms.Priss has let in? We have a head of main. driving around all day let him take pictures surely he must see something if he tries.

I agree with Kathy. There are people living on my street, renting a home that is currently for sale. There are at least four to five adults living in that house currently. They are from out of state but now have Florida tags. They apparently are related to other residents in the park because I see them there checking on that particular house right now. I am certain that they can't be registered at the office. First of all, at least two of them are not old enough to be living here. They are not living here because they are taking care of adult parents because the parents or at least the older people living there are not ill or handicapped. I have seen them in the park doing work on a particular house. It surprises me that people who do live here and own homes, and know the rules, are the ones who also break the rules by allowing people to rent homes that shouldn't live here. But these people are also the first to complain about what is happening here and what is not happening. Wise up people, we are all expected to follow the rules and not find ways to beat the system. we have many people in here who continuously find ways to do exactly that "beat the system". Well, you need to be ware now, because the rules are certainly going to be reinforced and challendged. we have to in order to make our lives safer and protect the elders in our part.

Kathy, as I see it, Priscilla wants "US" to do her job..... I solely suggest that each and everyone of us get to know your neighbors, keep an eye out for each other, whether here now, snowbirds or away for a few days. Make notes of suspicious cars and people that come and go from there, ask your neighbors about it, if they don't want to participate and are ignorant, then screw them, let them get robbed. I have a concern about the good folks that don't have access to this blog or Nextdoor Fairways, find out, keep them abreast of what's going on so they can prepare accordingly. We all need to join together and fight this since our so-called manager could care less. I may be wrong, but this is how I feel. Thanks.

NO ONE is trying to reinvent anything. You obviously doo not understand how both can work together as I have talked to Bill about many times and he agrees. One person is NOT what a neighborhood watch is. I know as I ran one before. If you don't like technology don't use it, but read up about "Nextdoor" by using your computer to google it and do your due diligence in research before you criticize me or anyone here trying to doo good for or residents, And by the way--why "hide" behind "anonymous"? Take ownership of you statements

At previous FHAOI meetings some residents have requested neighborhood watch meetings to be held - for informative purposes only. There are people who simply want to know how it all works. It would be helpful to set this up for all the interested parties. It would not be a conflict of interest to any group in the park.

We are in the process of organizing just that, Paul. Bill is going thru the "old" list of block captains and people who want to be ACTIVELY involved. That way we know what holes need to be filled, and who needs to be weeded out. This should be completed in the next week or so and all will be notified. Thanks to all that have offered to help! We need you all.
P.S. AND PLEASE ,WHEN YOU GO TO BED, TURN ON ANY OUTSIDE LIGHTS YOU HAVE. DARKNESS IS AN OPEN INVITE AND THE LITTLE BIT OF ELECTRIC THEY USE FAR OUTWAYS THE COST OF A BURGLARY!
