Since the early days--,the inscription, ''55+ community''
has graced the top area of the brick wall at the entrance to our community---.It was this part of the sign,--that brought so many of us into this park.
We have a question--Is this a planned SIGNIFICANT CHANGE in our way of life---OR is it just part of the entrance change as described [but not detailed] in the letter we recently received from HTA.
The HTA website makes no mention of any changes from an ''over 55 community''
CLARIFICATION FROM HTA--THROUGH OUR HOA --would be most appreciated.---ASAP

So this was deliberately removed by HTA? If so, I would like to know why also. Yeh, right, I might give them another $5.00 a month to do with what they like and keep increasing it at their discretion.... we pay too much already....

I would strongly suggest the Board call an emergency meeting with the express purpose of bringing an attorney onboard. Have we not learned anything from the amenities we have already lost? I'm am absolutely sure that the tide is changing here and we are in line to lose much, much more!! What's the purpose of a legal fund if it sits in the bank with no benefit.
Do we all remember the restaurant debacle? " Oh no, we're not closing the restaurant". A few days later, poof, gone! HTA will not give us honest answers. The time to act is NOW!

The 55+ portion of the sign was removed by Ed, as the wind had gotten ahold of it and practiclly ripped jt off, so he removed so it wouldnt look so junky.
Last year, what did the biard do in regards to he restaurant debacle, NOTHING, im not pointing fingers but it does aggrevate me when a member of last years board starts bashing our current board. Remember when you were on the board? lets all wok together for the well being of Fairways residents, young and older
come on people we need a lawyer to talk for us, I would rather pay 5.00 per month for a very good lawyer

If you are making reference to me being on the board last year, I was not. Try to get your facts straight please. If you signed your name I could speak to you privately. And I am not 'bashing the board', I'm simply making a suggestion that so many others have spoke about.
And for your information, our Homeowners Rep., Rick Harris told us that they were taking the sign down due to the construction....per Pricilla, they will re-post it when construction is complete..whenever that is. You'd think Pricilla would at least post the 55 plus info on the lighted sign, wouldnt you?
Wake up folks.....if everyone would have let us hire an attorney and move forward when i was on the board we would proabaly HAVE the restaurant!
My question is why were the only letters 55 + community removed ? If they are worried about the construction on the road then why were more letters not taken down. Lets face it the office has just told us another lie.

Someone please explain to me why HTA would want to make this an all age community. They have all properties full and 55+ residents are much more dependable in paying their montly rent. All age communities become run down and the rent goes down, not up. You folks seem to say that HTA only do things that make them money, so how would turning this community into an all age community make them money? You can't have it both ways. If their only concern is profits, why would they want to change? That makes no sense to me. Let's face it, many of you just don't like living here and that is your right. I know that some of you know that Priscilla drives a pick up truck back and forth to work but when people post that she drives an Audi or a Mercedes, no one corrects them. If you watch, those cars are driven by one of the office girls. I am just amazed that some of you just want to call people liars but when someone expresses complaints that are wrong, you say nothing. Get a grip, we all live here together and enjoy living here. I personally appreciate that there are off duty officers being paid to patrol our community to try and catch the thieves.
Its all smoke and mirrors! The "Sign Burglar" stole the sign and HTA is covering it up! Let's all insist that somebody else call Mario Boone, he'll get to to the bottom of this!

I often wondered about the office girl who drives the Mercedes. Must be the one who collects our rent.As far as the sign you can't see it anyway due to the electronic light show.
