WHO KNOWS?--WHO IS REALLY LIVING IN THE FAIRWAYS?

WHO IS ON FIRST?

Most of us remember the old Abbott & Costello, legendary comedy skit--''WHO IS ON FIRST?''
In our community--we have a similar ''SKIT''--''WHO is REALLY, living in the Fairways?''
Our HOA board is fortunate to have an excellent ''director of homeowners'', in Randy Muehl. Month after month, Randy solicits questions from our residents, and then follows up by submitting their questions in writing to the Fairways management. --Far too often the responses are,---incoherent or seemingly unhelpful and sometimes, are not even related to the simple questions asked.----EXAMPLES-- as taken from our last HOA minutes
Randy asked--''What are we doing to police the number of underage, nonresident, questionable felons, moving into the community?--is the community patrolled?--How do we monitor rental houses and who the leases are?--Do we ever just knock on the door and check things out?''
GREAT QUESTIONS RANDY!
 Our manager answered---
''These questions have been asked repeatedly---We have never had a public patrol---We have asked the residents about their desire to have a full time gate attendant and share the cost--The board turned it down on the behalf of the residents!''
''WE register rental residents the same way all other residents register--with an application of residency--if you are referring to a homeowner who rents out their home or a home of a deceased relative, and does not notify the office---The only way that management can know, is by the help of the neighboring residents!''

Our manager continues---
''EVERY RESIDENT HAS A RIGHT TO THEIR PRIVACY''
''Management does not have the right to go up to a house and demand to know the identity of each person in the home---just like other residents and Neighborhood Watch!''
We dont want to create a negative environment for our residents!''

So---there you have it folks--- it's all OUR FAULT if the felons and unknowns are in here with us!

  GO FIGURE!

Typical response from HTA "JUST PAY YOUR RENT AND WE ARE HAPPY" they don't want to have homes in her and not be drawing income from them make no waves PERIOD!!!!

It doesn't make sense... I think they would have the right, along with the responsibility to question an un-registered person living on the property.
Baffled, how anyone now would pay $115,000 for a house to live here.....

I will sound like a broken record but here we go. The house next door to me with a new owner is the same one I have mentioned on the blog before. Now in front of this house in the car port is a white van, on red jacks facing the street. This is the very same house that has generally 3-4 cars parked in the car port as well as in the driveway and partially in the grass. You can visually see the van on the jack stands, as the van is facing the street in the car port. Since the time that this house was sold, there has always been one vehicle in the car port on jacks. There are underage people living there with the said owner. Many of the people on my street have taken pictures of the car situation, and the van on jacks and presented them to management and nothing has been done. So management if you are reading this, please take a good look. The weeds now around the flower box are so high that you can't even see the flower box anymore. Clear obvious violations yet there are still other residents getting letters over much less significant violations. That particular house at this point, would fit in across the street with no problem.

Too bad our manager, Miss Priss does not live here or things might be different. She just doesn't care, she gets her paycheck and her bonuses. Which as you can tell are top priority!

Same thing on Bent Tree , Under Age, Cars Parked on Grass and even Witness Them pulling on Neighbors front lawn to make a U-Turn instead of going down the end of the street . Plus backing in so Tag can't be read . Looks like E-Mail Time to HTA or Registered Complaint Letter .

Ok, I went and looked up other communities HTA owns and found one:
Pinelake Gardens & Estate, Stuart, FL 55+ Manufactured Home Community/Hometown of America:
Community Features & Amenities
• Arts & Crafts Room
• Clubhouse (2)
• Community Kitchen (2)
• Courtesy Community Patrol
• Fishing Pond (3)
• Fitness Center
• Organized Activities
• Shuffleboard Court
• Swimming Pool 1 (heated)
• Swimming Pool 2 (heated)
• Tennis Court
So what would Courtesy Community Patrol be???
Thanks! Mickey

As you all know there will be no bonus money spent to make this park better and even though we all take pictures and complain Miss Priss will continue down the same path DO AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE TO CREATE A SOLUTION. As you all know it is the fault of CORPORATE. WE can not believe the car on jacks has not been solved. Bill or Randy do you have a reason for the delay??? And until we get a resident manager things will be the same as Debary this used to be a nice place to live now we are ashamed to say we live here.

Courtesy community patrol here means " residents take pictures of the problems " so adm can cover it up'

Can we post a picture of the van on jacks on this website?

Have a little comment for Miss Priss we know by the size of the 15 MPH she will still have bonus money left but besides that she is the one who is in charge of it sooooo we can well believe she has contacted UPS,FED EX,garbage trucks lawn equip etc. about the speed limit. This is a chance to show her managerial skills that she will be out and about to enforce her rules. So from now on and in the future residents can expect all venders will be duly informed and will be stopped if not following the rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who's handing out speeding tickets ? Barney Fife ?

Just started reading the Proposed Amendment No.13 article "F", NO PETS IN THE COMMON AREAS, is not all the dog walks in the common areas???????????????

To anon 1:04 do not give up about the car on jacks Miss Priss would sure enjoy if you would quit putting this problem on the blog KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read the proposed changes to the prospectus and noticed a disappointing change again.....Article 1 Fifty Five and older community......

It states that at least one resident in the home has to be 55+ and all others have to be at least 18? What happen to the change last year that made it at least 40 instead of 18? I thought that was a great improvement but now that changed? Confused again.

why is there no information on the Westchester pool in the new rules?? are we losing it also ????

Prospectuses: Declaration of Restrictions to Fairways Country Club: Made May 12, 2016. Article 1: section 1: 80% must be occupied by a 55 year old, all other occupants must be at least 18 and older.

No mention of the other 40%.

So, 18 and older can occupy the 40%, no more 40 and older ????? Or, the 80% can have age 18+ occupants as long as there is a 55+ occupying too! It is confusing. Help Randy! haha

Common areas???

Unknown said...

OOPS! Typing error on my previous comment: I meant 20%, not 40% on remaining occupancy.

Is there some reason these are not mailed out to arrive about nov 1 when the snowbirds are all here????????????????????????????

Anonymous said...

After reading the legal description does that not mean hta is owner of the drainage ditch behind the houses along the south side of Spyglass and as such it would be considered common grounds and must be kept up by hta. Randy maybe Miss Priss can confirm this and see that our ditch will be taken care of in the near future.

No mention of the Westchester pool i'm guessing means it is open to all ages all day long !

A GATE ATTENDENT DOES NOTHING BUT ATTEND TO THE GATE,IF SOMEONE CAN NOT OPEN IT HE OPENS IT FOR THEM,HEDOES NOT ASK ANY QUESTONSONS WHERE YOU ARE GOING OR DO YOU LIVE HERE,HIS JOB IS TO SEE THAT THE GATE DOES NOT GET DAMMAGED. A GATE GAURD GETS IMFOMATION ON WHO IS C0MEING IN WITH NO PASS AND WHERE THEY ARE GOING AND PATROLS THE ROADS IN THE PARK. AN ATTENDENT WOULD BE EMPLOYED BY HTA ON THERE PAYROLE,A GUARD WOULD BE OFF DUTY POLICE ETC. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IT IS HTA DUTY TO DO THIS WITH NO MORE MONEY FRON US.

No mention of the Westchester pool, i'm guessing because it is exempt from this and all ages allowed all day long.

First of all, if you don't tell Bill or me about things like cars on jacks, we don't always see it or know about it. If you tell me things, I will always take it to Priscilla and see what can be done. If you assume we know things and complain about them not being fixed without OUR knowledge, whos faul is it? Speak up if you want results...and don't assume we are always on the blogs. We also have other things to do.

Randy, I have spoken to Bill about this. He has taken pics as well. I have taken pictures and taken them to the office personally. My other neighbors have done the same. I have learned in my life by experience to never assume anything. I took the pictures and took them up to the office because I think that I am as capable as you of taking care of issues. I also thought that would might alleviate some the issues that you have to handle that maybe be more significant. Maybe you should have approached this issue in a kinder fashion and found out the facts, because as I stated I did speak to Bill. Not sure I appreciate the attitude expressed in your post.

Randy Muehl said...

My apologies Anonymous, whoever you are. You were correct in approaching Bill and going to the office yourself. My frustration comes from those that don't do anything but complain on blogs and want everyone else to do the "dirty" work. Priscilla thinks most of these issues are started by a small group of people and don't represent the majority. Only by her getting first hand knowlege from MANY residents will she realize that it may be time for her to act. That's part of the reason Chicago pays no attention to a few letters that are sent to them. They are told it's only a few troublemakers and everything is under control.

Anonymous said...

Randy it is too bad they see us as troublemakers when we are really the ones who make sure everything are on the up and up. It is also we have to remain anonymous but if we do not Miss Priss is so spiteful if she knows us we will pay and not in a good way.

Update on van on jacks. This van was worked on in the driveway Friday evening and I am happy to say that it is up and running. Now the one in the upper part of the carport which is still covered with a blue tarp is on jacks. LOL... I guess we just need to give them some more time to get them all up and running. Everyone have a great week. Be thankful for what we have and be happy.

Also Randy while we have things to bring up how about we that live on the south side of Spyglass with the drainage ditch WHAT A MESS !!!!!! It would seem with the zika scare our manager would have a little compassion towards the residents and have this ditch cleaned and maintained. The weeds in places are over knee high, water will not drain. To venture outside after dark or at dawn have a phone so you can call 911 for a blood transfusion. If needed can we get on our knees and plead for Miss Priss to do something about this common grounds.

Hey, Bill see we got the yellow cycle back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

The weeds in the ditch on the south side of Spyglass St. are not knee high at all they are 4 to 6 feet tall and are also full of snakes also not just black snakes and pigmy rattlers yesterday I killed an over 3 foot eastern diamond back cut his head off with a shovel!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Hey 11:21 if you think that will work we shall get everyone together meet at the office get on our knees and beg to get the mosquito heaven cleaned up. That drainage ditch is very dangerous with the zika deal. Maybe mosquito control could apply some influence..

Never left..... the cycle was behind house... using Grandma car (speeding too)
