THIS PAST ''APRIL FOOLS DAY'' WEEK-END WAS A SAD TRAGIC TIME FOR OUR COMMUNITY!---The events and areas affected are listed below in order.
#1--Friday March 31--RV parked in driveway,being loaded for trip--vehicle was ''egged''!
#2--March 31--2 tires slashed on Carnoustie Ct!
#3--March 31--2 more tires slashed on Pebble Beach!
#4-- April 1--2 RV tires slashed & ''egged'' in ''secure'' locked area of RV compound!
#5--April 1--The COPS car and the Fairways van was ''egged''!
#6--an unconfirmed report of 2 tires damaged on a work van, off Pebble Beach!

All of the above is preventable--IF--we had a management structure that truly cared about the residents!
OK--SO--I MAY NOT BE THE BRIGHTEST LIGHT ON THE TREE AND HAVE A BIG MOUTH-- but I ask what could be done to help our NON--SECURED community?
I SAY FOR A STARTER--A COMMON SENSE GATE SECURITY SYSTEM!----OH YEAH --HTA SAID IT'S OUR FAULT--BECAUSE WE VOTED AGAINST THEIR--''DESIGNED TO FAIL'' vote!
NOT SO---I personally believe that HTA does not want ANY MORE restriction for the entrance--our gates have been broken for over 3 weeks!
About 2 years ago--the Fairways had over19 documented burglaries within a 6 month period!--HTA DID NOTHING UNTIL WFTV CHANNEL 9 came into the park and did a damning story on the recorded crimes!
Then --HTA did what should have been done much earlier-----They hired off-duty Sheriff deputies to come in and roam the park at odd hours, with their small blinking red and blue, cruise lights!
GUESS WHAT?-- all the crazy crime crap stopped--pronto!
YES---IT DOES COST MONEY TO BRING SOME OF THE EXTRA GOOD GUYS IN HERE!---BUT IT MAY COST HTA MORE, IF SOME MORE BAD TV COVERAGE COMES THEIR WAY--IT MAY BE HARDER TO SELL THEIR $100 K trailers WITH THE $700+ LOT RENTS!
All of the above crimes were reported properly to OCSO!

THE OUT GATE THAT WAS BROKEN HAS BEEN FIXED AND STILL STAYS OPEN ,HTA COME ON AND TURN ON THE SWITCH SO TI WILL CLOSE AND OPEN AGAIN
Well, maybe while there at it, they can hook up the locks at the pool that have been installed, yet, are still not working.....

It was propably public golfers in here. Only those kids would do such damage and hurt SENIORS.
It was probably associated with that Black Lives Matter cult.
Its only a matter of time until they close this golf course completely and build houses on it. I for won will be happy when it happens so no more public golfers.
Has anyone else noticed the sad condition of the RV Parking fence towards the back ? I haven't anything parked in there but if i did i would be livid at the office for expecting me to pay rent for that.
A few notes on some comments above---THE GATE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED!--IT WAS ONLCUT OFF SHORTER FOR COSMETICS--look again.
As for that monster sized home----THAT IS ''THE QUEENS CASTLE''----iT SURE SEEMS TO BE A BIG OVERKILL!
A LOT OF MONEY HAS BEEN SPENT IN FRIVOLOUS WAYS--LIKE THE''CASTLE''---TEARING DOWN BUILDING WALLS THAT DESTROY FOLKS CARD ROOMS---and then---the pickle ball court--when most of 'dumb azzes' dont even know what pickle ball is!

There is only ONE WAY to enter/depart FAIRWAYS; the concentration should on the Gate Access. Adding ( yes add) a "Common Access Card or Code" for those who are non-resident with exclusive golf privileges. This can either be biometric or individually coded. This could be similar to military bases; the focus on gate will give factual stats on who and when; will narrow timeline to assist our law enforcement with their investigative reports. (By the way our Fire/EMS/Police could/should have their own code to access our community When emergencies arises). This will also assist in reporting "trends; gate usage; times etc... or a possible Gate-Video Recording System (cloud save).
Another suggestion: fluorescent tape on every other bar of gate to "shine back" upon headlights to assists those with nocturnal sight problems.
If measures are taken to support our need for privacy and security; and these scenarios continue; we can factually focus on the inside community and AUDIT all background checks: I'm sure our community Crime Watchers with full Police guidance; support and training would be active in the pursuit of inside criminality.

All I know is we are paying (ALOT) For a gated community. Which we do not have. Management spend money to secure the pools from "squatters" and yet, the access code is not working...is it just for show?? This we pay for also. We should have our pools and gates working with the proper security. Yet, they can bring in and install new homes in a "new York minute".. I just don't get it.

I just don't see why so many people in this community feel it is HTA's responsibility to truly care about the residents. I mean where does it say that they need to care about us? I didn't move here because I was desperate for them to care about me. With all do respect of course. Perhaps I am wrong but maybe someone can point to where it says that they have to give a darn about us.

How about IF some concerned residents , got some picket signs, with true, no profane messages and then walked back and forth on the new public sidewalks-out front on weekends when the prospects of their $100 thousand trailers come by?

oh come on. no one is going to protest with picket signs out front. what are you trying to accomplish by doing that? get the news station there that there are vandals? Residents do just as much vandalism is anyone else if not all of it. who steals masters lightbulbs, who superglued locks, who stole golf cart batteries. all residents.
You may be right, but again, broken record...if the gate was probably working, maybe, just maybe, it would deter outsiders from just driving in.... and again, would keep non-residents from having a good day at our pools........
So you really don't know who is coming in here, who is living here and who is vandalizing property... lets get what we pay for...... no one is asking "to care of us"....just keep our amenities in working order............... and manage the property and make sure all resident are legal and registered...
I remember the super glued locks. What a ridiculous thing to do. I cant confirm the light bulbs but I do know that the restaurant mens room would be clogged every shingle day with paper towel. I am not joking, every single day it would be clogged with paper towel. Not a cowincidince.

Look at the houses on the south side of Spyglass and see what they get to look at the fence the over grown drainage ditch but we do have a big "office" in front, look at all the residents losing land because they can not get a sea wall but we do have a big, new OFFICE for 3 to 4 people. Look at all the roads needing repair but we do have a big OFFICE to brag about. Why worry about a restaurant when you get to leave the park to get a meal you can admire a BIG miss priss castle.
