SOME UPDATES AND A SHERIFF ACTIVITY REPORT

Fairways Watch is continually asked, one question, over and over again. IS THE REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER STILL LIVING ON FIRESTONE ST? The answer is a simple YES! Furthermore there is no legal filings relating to this person posted in the public Orange County Clerk Of Courts web site.
There does however appear to be progress made on the ''overcrowded'' rental house,in the 14400 block of Spyglass St.  Where there once was as many as 5--6 cars parked nightly , the residence now seems unoccupied. We have received many comments on this home, in the past.
Some residents have been asking about all of the police activity on Maidstone, last evening. ---Here is what we know.---Around 7 PM Sunday evening, 2 OCSO units came into the Fairways, at a good rate of speed, with light bars on --no sirens. A very observant resident saw a middle aged ,white male, dive up in a black Jaguar car. The occupant ,after a few minutes, started loading tools and other items from a shed on the 14500 block of Maidstone. The resident called 911 and properly described the situation. The 2 police units were dispatched under a ''code 3''. In only a very short time, the suspect was handcuffed and secured in one of the cruisers.
After some time the homeowner appeared and would not press charges. The situation is probably best described as a ''misunderstanding'', involving a  financial dispute, between 2 parties that were acquainted with one another. After talking to the homeowner, the middle aged male was released from custody.
The above narrative points out one thing, very well. When 911 is called---it is imperative that strong, accurate details of the existing situation, be given to the dispatcher! The good resident, last evening, did just that. The 911 dispatchers have the option using 3 different codes to the officers. Last night a code 3 was properly used and they got here quickly!

Last night around 730 the family on Spyglass with the 3 kids were at the Weschester. The kids were jumping, diving, and disrupting things so much so that a real resident could take no more and left. WE have personally asked the kids to settle down but the parent could care less. We have sent pics to the office and done what we are supposed to, to no avail. You say to tell the office, but nothing is done. They have lived here all summer that I know of and still no action. Is it not the job of our HOA Dir. of Homeowners to push to get this type of thing resolved? What are we supposed to do? The system is too slow and not working.

RE over it all
I believe that the GROUP that you are referring to, are residing at a home in the 14500 block of Spyglass. There have been numerous complaints about these folks forwarded to the office, by several different residents and Fairways Watch.
Here is the problem---This is not a matter that can involve law enforcement. IT IS STRICTLY A CIVIL MATTER THAT CAN ONLY BE ADDRESSED BY HOMETOWN AMERICA!
The question is --How can our pool rules, --speed limits--obscene behavior--and all other rules and guide lines be enforced?
If we had electronic pool pass keys----pool entry for offending residents could be denied. If we had proper, legal street sign marking,--the sheriff could issue tickets. If we had pool monitors ,the foul language and other violations could be monitored and access denied.
Maybe some of you folks out there have some new enforcement ideas.

I have been there at the westchester when those kids from the house on Spyglass were there. They are really quite annoying. The marco polo game is just enough to drive you insane! The constant jumping in the pool and getting in and out of the pool is just so aggravating. It seems I always pick the time of day when they are there. I have to pack up my things and go to another pool, if I don't want to be annoyed by kids.

What is wrong with this picture? THIS IS A 55+ PARK!!!!
Take your grandkids to Disney!

Bill, I understand what COULD be done but we know it's not. So, what CAN be done? How can HTA be forced to do what is right? Who is responsible to take this to HTA and what can be done if they don't respond? If they have numerous complaints on the Spglass family who lives here with unruly pool kids, what is being done? Who follows up with answers? Please get us answers before someone gets hurt...

To all that have complained about the crap that is going on around fairways I say this . You can put an army in this park and you still will have the same problems. Why?because Pricilla will never address our problems.why?because she is lazy, uncaring , and just in for a paycheck. Do you really believe she reports all of the problem s we have to Chicago ? I think your living in a dream world if you do. There has to be a way to end this nightmare . I wish I knew how-but sadly I don't .we must have someone in the park that can come with a solution .if so please let us know how and what we can do

Be careful for what you ask for!
Turning the streets over to orange county would mean you would have to make your golf cart street legal.

I dont think they would have to be street legal ..its still a golf course community , but..you could get a DUI on your golf cart for sure !

I was told through the rumor mill, that the fairway employees, ie, Diane and others are asking people for their pool passes and taking names? I also understand Cricket and perhaps her husband is also working on the undesirables?

I didnt know that Crickets husband works for Hometown....

Yes he does now. I believe its a positive move for us.Theyre good people in my opinion who take their job seriously and take pride in their work.

He just started last week.he took LENA's job.

I hope Bill will be working with Cricket's husband. This would be a good step in the right direction.

Wouldnt it be a good idea if Hometown advised the residents who the park employees are and that they should wear some sort of a badge or have some identification from HTA. Met a guy last week, said he was the new compliance officer, Am I to assume that is Crickets hubby. Seemed like a good man, fair and looking out for the residents
