For sometime this blog administrator has been saying --''our HOA boards are no match for the conniving professional, expertise of the Hometown legal team.'' At last nights board meeting, this was quite evident---The majority of the board sat in place,''dumb struck'' while Priscilla rattled off the latest HTA ''manifesto''concerning the Masters renovation project..----With all due respect--2 board members made strong challenges and some intelligent counter points.

There will be no room for the library in the NEW Masters----BUT--- we will have ---a media room--a relaxation room---a game room---- and lord only knows what else that HTA and BILLY CASPER CORP will have dreamed up for us!---- BOY O BOY THOSE YOUNG PUNKS FROM DEERWOOD WILL LOVE THAT GAME ROOM,---the same way they like our pools.
A vocal board member did point out that the residents had no input in all of the revamping.---BUT I WILL BET ONE THING----BILLY CASPER CORP. sure did.

Does anybody know what happened to all the books that had been donated and were in the library??? 2) I think that we do need to be represented by an attorney. Hometown has there team of legals. We need the same.

Everything in this Park needs an overhaul including Management. From what I've been hearing and listening to since I was suckered into buying in here is worthy of hiring an Attorney. The excuses are continuous, the Golf Club House that offers Alcohol is horrendous and the so called Driving Range would be better off being converted to a Bird Sanctuary. Every Mother Brother and Sister can just come in because half the time the Gate is wide open. The Benches around the Dog Walk are falling apart, the sewer system and water systems need upgraded, most the roads need repaving. Lighting at night is so bad it be better to just keep them off. This Park in no way is Senior Friendly when the Ownership does nothing to protect them from crime. Sure we're hearing things are better ! How long ? At who's cost? FHAOI needs to stop blowing smoke up HTA Owners you know what and hire the damn Lawyer.

Hire the lawyer to sue over the snack bar. Even now, HTA is on shaky ground there and a lawsuit will get their attention, rattle HTAs cage, because they know the truth. And the truth is that both sides usually are unhappy with a lawsuit's results. But what the heck, we're already unhappy, let's spread it around.

The books that were in the library were packed by residents of Fairways and are being stored in a climate controlled storage unit across the street.
As you turn from Pebble Beach onto Spyglass look right, when is the last time that drainage ditch saw a weed eater? About the same time the drainage ditch behind all the houses on Spyglass!!! But if it goes long enough the residents will have had enough and do it themselves, that way more awards for "doing more with less" and more bonus money at the end of the year for certain people.

It is a pot luck affair so bring a dish to share. There will be music and singing and dancing on the deck area. Somebody is wise to what is going on remember when there was no money for boccie ball score boards the reason, adm knew the residents would do it!! Maybe because she knew the residents would do a much better job than what her main. dept. could do. AND A VERY GOOD JOB THEY DID DO!!!!!!! But there was enough money to put in the much needed and very well used bleachers which did not even meet code when done. It just seems the more residents want something the less likely that thing is going to happen. The bench inside the tennis courts the players would like removed, you complained toooooo much now it will never be removed!!!!!
Hey,you guys are on to something such as the cart path from Spyglass across no.5 that ends part way to ----- because there was no money in the budget to finish it. However there was money to put cement around the tennis court to take care of all the foot traffic. Also they found enough money to get a couple bucket of dirt to pour at the end of the unfinished path. A nickle and dime repair by our elite main. dept. Boy what an engineering feat!!!!
this place was better when we had a pro and the help that lived here....you were told by some people it was the downfall of the course...now Billy Casper in here with all their kids running the place, no tavern, all you have is people running things that shouldn't be here....take a good look at the hometown america sites that have courses, clubhouses and places to eat and you will find how much is gone from here....know for a fact that other companies for golf had come in with lower figures to manage the course but HTA turned them down....time for our own people to run the course
People you are right about things written above how about one more thing the mailbox area. We at one time had an area where we could pull golf carts into and walk thru the end which help with the crowding of the parking area and people need not walk in front of moving cars. But our Main. super and our Miss P decided to put down a cement block and nail up some wood pickets to force residents back into harms way. What on earth was wrong with the way it was????
Question how come the Colonial Woods sign hasn't been taken down they are right next door to us on your right as you exit the gate their BRICK WALL STICKS OUT FURTHER THAN THE FAIRWAY'S if the road construction is going to effect our brick wall HOW COME IT IS NOT GOING TO EFFECT THAT ONE ALSO ! Rumor has it they are building a new office up front so Colonial has access without entering the park. This will also have the new gate system and movement of some of the wall.
Why is everything a rumor. Why are the residents not informed and updated about all the renovations. Rumors are usually wrong and get blown out of proportion. I just wish their was a source that could confirm. WE are not children and its OUR MONEY that is used for all these changes.

FACT OR FICTION?---It is either a made up rumor or one of the worst kept secrets in East Orange County.----Go ahead and pick a winner. One of the most important functions of our HOA is to keep residents informed of upcoming changes and plans in our community. To the defense of the HOA---I say---With the present owners and local management,--that is impossible. HTA can not tell the truth even when it is easier.

we are being had by what we term "Mean Spirits" cannot play golf, go to club meetings or people gatherings without residents discussing and or cussing a name from Chicago and a local name. A case in point about "mean spirits" everything residents love to have these two are removing from us restaurant,library,swimming pools,cable,etc. Nowwe hate to do this and we will explain in a bit but we wish to heap the biggest praise possible to Lynn Engelhardt for the Eagle. Lynn and her staff just do a great job. Residents can hardly wait until the end of the month to receive the paper!!!!!! The reason we hated to this now is because the "mean spirits" may get Lynn next and we will have to add the Eagle to the list above. Will not be long and we will wish we had bought in Deerwood instead of Fairways.

It's funny because if all the people that live in here remember that when you signed your contract to live in here you had to abide by certain conditions according to HTA specs so that when you do not follow them you are in BREACH OF CONTRACT and have letter or eviction notice sent to you....because they took the tavern away, a non secure community living conditions and other written things that they have promised here...who also is in BREACH OF CONTACT with the residents?
