MORE CAUTION NEEDED UP FRONT!

YES---THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN THE FRONT OF THE PARK,--AND MORE CHANGE IS ON THE WAY!

There is no denying that East Colonial is a real mess now and will be into the immediate  future.
At the mailbox and in the local social media, the new traffic light is a hot topic. A lot of us have seen first hand,--the discourteous actions displayed by some of our residents waiting at the new stop position of the ''temporary light'',in the east bound turn lane.
On an evening, before the new ''stop here'' sign was erected.---I personally witnessed the following.----I had stopped at a proper distance, to view the new light, a position, further back west from the old stop line. Almost immediately a white mini-van, started blowing the horn,--making hand gestures-- and just simply speaking,----he was having a ''road rage orgasem''
The mini-van then pulled out into the through lane and attempted to pull up to the old stop line.--WHAT A JERK!
Also please note---at a certain time in the morning--the sun totally obscures vision of the new light [currently around 8;30]. ----It seems that the new temporary light, may not have the strong illuminating power as the old one.[see picture]
THERE WILL BE MORE MAJOR CHANGES SHORTLY, DUE TO THE PLANNED SHIFTING OF THE MAIN ROADWAY.
We all need to stop and think about our reactions and driving habits.
On a related matter---with all of the rain---please show some positive thinking and courtesy to our residents on open carts and those walking---slow down,--as not to ''drench'' folks with your vehicle going through standing water.
''CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?''

I think that this is Hometowns fault. They should be talking with the road worers to make sure we are safe.

It is not hometowns job to take care of you and ensure your safety, that is your responsibility.

It isn't fair that they are turning our beautiful east orlando community into a major highway area. Why don't we have a say in this.

I think that everyone should watch this video before the leave the community in the car.

can't we hire someone to direct traffic out there?

Anonymous said...

I cant believe that that are people that drive around soaking pedestrians. This is a SENIOR community and someone will get ammonia!

We should get one of Caspers yahoos to direct the traffic. god knows they don't do anything else.

The 2:30 anon comment above any idea where that came from?????

People are still not seeing the green arrow light, even with the sign up. We had to go down and make a u-turn to get in Fairways. People were turning into community on a red arrow. That was around lunch time today. eeeekkkk!

We should send out our non-resident mens golf president out there and direct the traffic. at least that way hes out of our community.

People take a read at the silly comments that were submitted today, silly is what they are other than Bill's main story on the subject I can't see how GROWN PEOPLE can come up with this I call it STUFF ! The road will be much better off than it has ever been when compleyed PAY ATTENTION WHILE DRIVING IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A LICIENCED DRIVER TO BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS.

My husband used the time between rain storms to get some much needed exercise
He rode his bicycle to pick up the mail
Returning home an automobile driving in the middle of the street flew by him drenching him
The drivers window was down andy husband yelled "hey buddy slow down"
The driver stopped and waited for my husband to reached his car
He then said "I am going to kick your butt"
He was in dark blue or black Chevrolet
2013 to 2015 model
A young late twenties white male with dark short hair, a new beard
He pretended to be taking his seat belt off and opening his door
But instead sped off

I swear some people just like to hear them selves complaint. People, You are responsible for your own safety when driving. Lighten up... Life is too short to complain about every little thing

I don't see why it couldn't be put on the community Chanel. At least for an advisory.

You are so right Bill. it is very difficult to see that left turn arrow at around 8:30am.
.
In regards to the commenter at 11:30am, it is not HTA's job to make sure you pay attention to the road. I swear some of you people act like this is some kind of nursing home or something. Take responsibilty for your own actions. If you lived anywhere else, who would you blame for the road construction/signs or lack there of?

Anonymous said...

You are so right..... These comments sounds like we should be in a Nursing Home. Hometown is not caretakers...
I wish we could stick to legitimate issues with sensible suggestions and resolutions.

What the heck is happening here? Things are really degenerating.
What do the golf league prez, Casper Corp., and HTA Corp., have to do with state highway authorities moving a traffic signal?

Oh, that's right, shielded by anonymity people can be as silly as they want.

The funny thing is, everyone knows that the juvenile comment about the golf-league prez was likely made by one of two people... a man or a woman (both bowlers, too)... so there's really no need for anonymity. Unless the thinking is that what's said behind someone's back actually remains there.

Guess what right after they finish hwy 50 improvements they will be starting the 408 expansion. You would be surprised on how close the one scenario brings it to our park.
Don't take my word Google it!

Yeh, I heard they were doing route 408 because home developments were going in down from us, I think by Bithlo. It was on the local news.

Let's stick to the subject friends.......
