HERE IS WHAT WE KNOW--On May 14 the registered sex offender, left the Miami-Dade jail and moved, without application or approval into the Fairways. On May 15, he complied with FL. law and re-registered with a new mugshot. Shortly thereafter, he updated drivers license information, as required by law. According to Florida DMV-- his permanent address is 14808 FIRESTONE ST
At the last board meeting,our manager said that a violation notice had been sent. The offender has until June 30 to vacate the Fairways.
It should be pointed out that only a signed court order by a judge, can bring about the forced eviction of a resident. If the offender does not leave voluntarily, then formal eviction proceedings must be filed through the Orange County Clerk Of Courts..
Hometown America would have a strong case for eviction,Per Fl. statute 723.061. --He did not register--he committed and was convicted of a felony crime--he is a threat to the well fare of other residents [that is why sex offenders are required to register ] and last but not least, he is well under the age of 55!
How can we have a ''premier'' community, when we have sex offenders moving in ?

has anyone seen a copy of the letter sent ?
I would hope that the offender and his benefactor [the homeowner] has seen the reported letter. Time will tell. There is no way for the offender to move without being reported to law enforcement. Any change of address must be reported within 48 hrs ,--or back to jail he goes. WE WILL BE WATCHING!
but, was a letter sent? or is this just being told that there was one sent? SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE A SIGNED RECIPT THAT THE LETTER WAS RECIVED

Hey Bill. IF we ever got a true list of what is living in this park I'm afraid we would be making a mad dash to get the hell out of this felon infested tolet.
Does anyone know who the homeowner is and why they rented to this group of under 55 and felons? Is there no way to check on line who lives in the park?

It is reported by neighbors that a woman owns the house at 14808 Firestone--BUT--she does not live there. It is also believed by neighbors that it is a son of hers that lives there with another young male. On May 14, they were joined by the registered offender. The office SHOULD know who the woman owner is. Evidently her identity is protected by the secret Fairways privacy act.
I know of no online source of Fairways resident listings.
I will say this---In recent years--twice I have been told by TWO different, undercover narcotics officers, --and I quote--''The Fairways is a perfect place for both FELONS and DRUG DEALERS''
I personally say that If HTA does not tighten up their back ground checks and the ''under the radar'' rentals and move-ins, we could become a recognized COLONY FOR FELONS instead of the proclaimed PREMIER COMMUNITY!
I really do not understand what hometown could be thinking. I met a gentleman yesterday that has only lived in the park for 8months.he has his house up for sale and not with HT. He said he and his wife consider this park as one of the seediest places he has ever lived. He and his wife both said that it was not even a month before they realized what a big mistake they had made.one of the biggest complaints was the lack of security and the caliber of people that they see coming and going thru our premier communit. They feel that the front office and the sales person will lie and cheat just to sell homes then once your in your stuck. Rally HOMETOWN HAVE YOU NO SHAME.

This place has really went downhill since Priscilla took over. We have a group of wanna be gangsters at the masters pool. Then the pole dancing burlesque dancer at the westchester, loud music and alcohol parties. Now we have felons, criminal activity, drugs and sexual offenders.
What is it going to take Hometown? Does someone have to be murdered in order for you to take notice of the class of people you are letting in this place!

Get a grip, besides there are THREE pools. This is not a nursing home but an "Active" community.
Get involved and be part of the solution instead of just complaining!
Actually I was there the day she lifted up her bikini top and bared all for what she thought was a "fake" camera. If you're going to defend someone you should remember a lot of people saw her that day at the westchester.
but all that aside, my point was the criminal activity is getting worse around here.

Re 12:41. We aren't complaining we're doing the nest best thing. We're moving. Found a great community in winter haven. A real 55and older community. The only thing it is lacking is a golf course ,there's one up the street and they also have a guard on duty 24 -7. We went thru this this place at all hours of the day.no loud cars no swimming without the proper bathing suit top and bottom. The roads have no pot holes some of you may miss that. Nice club house. Believe it or not they run real back ground checks. We paid for it,but at least we will not be living next door to felons and sex offenders.they follow the guidelines of a safe and secure place to live.good luck to all of you we hope you can do away with the lawlessness that makes this place an unfit trailer park . Because that's all this primer community is.

Today at 12:30 on Firestone there are three police cars with their lights on, anybody know what is going on?
I sawsomething today I never in a million years thought I'd see inour premier community . Corn,as tall as me. And tomato,and God only knows what was hidden in the rest of the mess they are calling a garden. You can't miss it .its in the front yard.not even hidden. By the way these are new residents. This is what we have to look forward to folks. Felon,sex offenders ,and the farmers market right next door.by the way the house is warwickhils circle.

I don't think these people are type who care weather they are doing something that's against the by laws. According to one resident they are very unfriendly .good luck cricket this will be a good test to see weather or not your you can fill Lena's shoes.
I wish HTA would have a garden patch somewhere in the park, So that people can stake out a plot and plant the vegetables they like.
We used to have a church across the way from us, they allowed the neighbors to plant there veges and they shared it with the homeless that come by the church for help.
6 days to go and he is still here and I don't think he even knows he is suppose to leave. What is going to become of our community that has no leadership.
Next year vote in a complete Board that has the backbone to ruffle feathers if needed. Hopefully we have learned a lesson and realize that it's going to take a different mindset to stop the downhill slide our community is on. It will take pressure on HTA when needed to get the answers and results that we as residents deserve. The machine is running out of gas and needs a new fuel to propel it.

no one, they all volunteer to run by giving their name to the nominating committee in sept/ oct.
I understand new people are starting to step up already. I hope enough new blood gets in to actually implement some positive changess this time and are not bullied down by the rest. We need some fighters when fighting is needed...

So, the COPS car just went by my house at 9:30 on a Saturday morning, must be having problems with the Garage Sale people. End-of-month, got to log those hours for Sheriff's Dept.to show the car is being used. Three people in car, where the hell are you at 2:00 AM any day?

Anon...don't you realize they don't read the blog,have any way of knowing how we feel, or even care anyway. Maybe next year we can vote in a few that do care and will get answers or at least try. Until then, accept the lack of info you receive and wait 5 more months
